I am honoured and privileged to lead our Party in the Scottish Parliament.

The people of Scotland told us they wanted change. I will work tirelessly to ensure that Scottish Labour reflects their concerns, earns their trust and deserves their support.

The people of Scotland deserve the very best. And I believe with all my heart that Scotland is best served by the Labour Party in government. It is Labour in Scotland, with its strong traditions of radical, progressive policies that has changed this country for the better.

Under my leadership Scottish Labour will reform, renew and reconnect. That’s what I promised at the start of my campaign. I will keep that promise. Scottish Labour will be a party of principle and energy. It will be a party with vision, with compassion and a party for all of Scotland.

Together we can make Scottish Labour a party proud of its past, and confident of its future.
